The Constant in Life
When I first attempted to blog I questioned if I had the talent, now I wonder if I have the material or the drive and willingness? I was in a different place and had emotions (Boy, did I have emotions! they were all over the place) I needed to understand. As I wrote what I felt I decided to share it. Share, simply because, maybe, just maybe someone else was experiencing what I was and was unable to express themselves.
We cannot all express what we feel in words nor do we all have the ability or fortitude. The pain is sometimes overwhelming or the persons' coping mechanism is not wired that way. The skill has not been learnt or the benefit of venting in a constructive or purgative way has not been taught nor have they been exposed to it.
It is not only through the written word, but the spoken word and through music. After all, it is the universal language. I found in the past that when I am unable to speak or write, music has been able to soothe my soul bringing understanding, clarity and comfort.
As we write the story of our lives we evolve. Evolution often comes with a price called growth and often growth comes with pain. Some of us embrace it in all its glory and fight the good fight as we make it through the refining fire. Others resist with all their might making the process longer and more drawn out than it is intended or should be. Inflicting unnecessary hurt and pain into an already trying situation. Fight as we might change is the only constant in life.
The sooner we assent to this the easier it becomes. The challenges won't go away but knowing that change will be a constant companion on our journey will make the ride more worthwhile. As we change we grow and out of growth comes awakening and a connection to self.
To lose connection with who we are can throw you off our axis and lead to confusion and a sense of loss. Stay centred and connected to the essence of who you are. Regardless of the changes or challenges that come your way hold fast always to who you are, and what you stand for.
As much as change happens the core values that make us who we do not change and should not change simply because we are being bombarded with what is contrary to what we hold to be true. If an error is found yes acknowledge, embrace and apply but do not allow social pressures to be a determining factor. There is no need to run with the crowd. If needs be walk alone. To thine own self be true
Stay True! Stay Strong and embrace the constant in life that is change!
